The Sculptor
Milan Sengupta,
born 02.07.1957

The sculptor is self taught in the sense that he
does not have any formal training from any Art
College. But thinks himself to be a very fortunate
person because he got two highly distinguished Art
teachers in his school days. They are
Phalguni Dasgupta,an eminent Artist  and
Gour Pada Goswami, a very great art teacher.
Later he had the great opportunity to work with
Surajit Das, one of the fore most Sculptors of
India today, who taught him the real Art of
Sculpting.
The Sculptor serves as a Sailor(marine engineer)
to keep his body alive but what keeps his soul alive
is what you are seeing in this Site.
His works are in Private Collectons in India and
abroad including USA, UK, Phillipines, Australia,
Singapore, Portugal.
When not sailing, the Sculptor lives with his
mother, wife Sagarika, daughter Sagarkanya and
Father-in-law in Kolkata.
